Architects, building owners and facilities managers are faced with complex and costly issues when considering audio/visual systems for their facilities. CSA provides consulting and design services; we do not sell, manufacture, or install equipment and have no alliance with any brand. Therefore, recommendations are made primarily with the client’s interests in mind.

The Audio/Visual Group at CSA draws upon a wide range of backgrounds, including electrical engineering, theater, audio recording, music, acoustics, contracting and multimedia. A collaborative team approach gives our clients the benefits of our collective experience.

Typical audio/visual design projects for CSA consultants are:

Video and Projection Systems
: developing, engineering, and overseeing the implementation of simple or large-scale display systems, including rear projection systems and video walls.

Audio Systems: researching and engineering audio systems for playback, speech reinforcement and entertainment.

Teleconferencing/Distance Learning Systems: designing audio and video systems that facilitate meetings over IP networks and telecommunication systems.

Sound Masking: specifying audio systems that optimize acoustic environments.

Multimedia Web Content Engineering: developing and engineering multi-platform systems that feed, produce, or display media on the internet.

Telecommunications: voice, data and fiber-optic cabling for universities, business environments, government facilities, laboratories and data centers, network equipment and building infrastructure to support telecom systems.

Network Operations Command and Control Centers: designing audio and video systems that display diagnostic information to monitoring technicians.

CSA provided acoustical and audio/visual system design consulting for the city council chambers. The audio/visual system design included computer capable video projection with a rear projection screen. The acoustical issues included reducing reverberation and ventilation system noise to provide good speech intelligibility.

CSA provided full service acoustical consulting and audio/visual system design for C|Net on-line and television network headquarters in San Francisco. The audio/visual system in this meeting room included a large screen rear-projection system and Dolby digital surround sound.
