CHARLES M. SALTER, P.E. | President
Charles applies his expertise in design, construction, business, and the law to his practice of acoustical consulting. Currently he manages over 100 projects involving building acoustics and environmental noise analysis. His accomplishments have included work on the Skywalker Ranch's state-of-the-art Post-Production Studios, which won the National Engineering Award in 1988, and the Allied Professions Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects, California Council in 1998.
As an educator, Charles has been a faculty member of the University of California at Berkley College of Environmental Design for over thirty years. Helping architects advance is consistent with his overall business and personal philosophy. His personal teaching experience became his inspiration to write a book, which he coauthored in 1998, entitled ACOUSTICS: Architecture Engineering The Environment, written by Charles M. Salter Associates and published by William Stout Publishers. This book was written as a reference for architects and allied professionals, and is also used by his students.
