Philip N. Sanders, LEED AP | Vice President
Architectural acoustics, as a career, combines Philip's interests in language, architecture, and music. His background as a musician combined with his advanced knowledge of speech and quantifying speech intelligibility in lecture spaces gives him a broad perspective, which encourages the full integration of acoustics into building design. He encourages teams to consider addressing acoustical issues by means of building layouts and energy efficient HVAC system designs that are inherently quiet.
In 2000, Philip opened Charles M. Salter Associates, Inc.'s South Bay office located in San Jose, California. He has extensive consulting experience with educational facilities, performing arts facilities, community centers, corporate facilities, and environmental noise assessments. Projects Philip has worked on include: the Fox California Theater, Symphony Silicon Valley (adjusting their on-stage configuration and orchestra shell), and the Sony Metreon. As a LEED accredited professional, he is pleased to have been involved in a large percentage of the City's new branch libraries, many of which are LEED certified.
