Randy D. Waldeck, P.E., LEED AP | Principal Consultant

Randy's early interest in music, specifically audio equipment, sparked his career in acoustics. Randy specializes in residential and school noise insulation projects adjacent to airports. He also works extensively with multi-family housing noise control issues in the San Francisco Bay Area, where designers and cities have made environmental sustainability imperative. Randy's fluency in Spanish has proven beneficial in his work for effectively communicating at job sites and in Spanish speaking neighborhoods.

Randy particularly enjoys the diversity of his work; applying his knowledge of acoustics and 3D computer modeling to provide clients with visual representations of noise impacts. Some of his more challenging projects have included an amphitheater project in West Sacramento, the data analysis and a research report for over 300 speech privacy measurements conducted in Federal facilities throughout the United States, as well as his ongoing sound isolation project work at San Jose International Airport and Ontario International Airport. More recently, he became a key member in the group that is developing the protocol for office speech privacy for the General Services Administration (GSA).
